Chicken Rice Salad


Chicken Rice Salad Ingredients

  1. Chicken fillet 250-300 grams
  2. Orange 1 piece (large)
  3. Canned corn 1/2 cup
  4. Green onion 1 bunch
  5. Rice 3/4 cup
  6. Mayonnaise 2 tablespoons
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Ground black pepper to taste

Inventory:

Casserole - 2 pieces, a deep plate, a kitchen knife, cutting board, slotted spoon, can opener, a tablespoon, a serving dish - 2 pieces, a brush for washing vegetables, disposable paper towels, a teaspoon.

Cooking rice salad with chicken:

Step 1: prepare the fillet.


Wash the chicken fillet, dry it and put in a pan with cold water. Put on fire, bring to a boil and cook until fully cooked, i.e. 20-25 minutes. Remove the finished chicken from the pan, wait until the meat has cooled and cut it into thin strips or small cubes, most importantly, do not make the pieces large.

Step 2: prepare the rice.


Rinse thoroughly to make it crisp. Then pour it into the pan, pour a large amount of water, based on what 1 cup rice leaves 2-2.5 cups water. Put the pan with the cereal on the stove, bring to a boil, then reduce and simmer until all the liquid is boiled and the rice is cooked. It is not necessary to mix cereals after boiling. Cool the finished rice to room temperature.

Step 3: prepare the orange.


Rinse the fruit thoroughly with a special brush. Now we are faced with the task of carefully peeling the skin without damaging it. To do this, move along the equator of the orange with a knife, cutting through to the pulp. Take a teaspoon and push its handle between the pulp and the peel of the fruit. Gently peel the skin first from one half of the fruit, then from the other. When you feel that the peel easily leaves, just remove it with your hands. As a result, you will get two hollow halves of an orange and a whole pulp. The last one will only be cut into small cubes and remove the seeds.

Step 4: prepare the corn.


Drain the excess fluid from the corn.

Step 5: prepare the green onions.


Rinse the green onions thoroughly with water, shake, removing excess moisture. Arrange the greens on a cutting board and cut it into small pieces.

Step 6: mix the ingredients.


Put chopped chicken, orange pulp, rice and corn in a deep plate. Mix all these ingredients thoroughly.

Season with mayonnaise, salt, pepper to taste and sprinkle with green onions. Mix the salad again and proceed to serve it.

Step 7: serve rice salad with chicken.


Chicken rice salad is served in a very original way. From the remaining orange peel, hollow cups were obtained, it is in them and lay the salad immediately after cooking. Garnish with slices of fruit pulp and sprigs of greens, beautifully put on a serving dish and you're done! Enjoy a truly original and delicious meal.

Recipe Tips:

- To add piquancy to the salad, use not smoked chicken fillet.

- If you do not want to bother with the peel of an orange, then serve the salad in high pans, decorating it with fruit slices. It will turn out no less spectacularly.

- Sometimes a boiled egg is also added to this salad, but in this case the dish becomes more satisfying and a bit heavier.
