Cooking fish under a fur coat in the oven:
Step 1: prepare the fish fillet.
Defrost the fish fillet (only at room temperature, do not use a microwave or hot water for this). If your filet is on your skin, be sure to clean it with a knife. Then rinse the fish with water and pat dry with disposable paper towels. Cut into portions, salt, pepper, season with savory and fingertips, distribute spices over all pieces of fillet evenly.
Step 2: fry the vegetables.
Peel the carrots and onions and rinse thoroughly with running water. Chop the onions into small pieces with a knife, and grate the carrots on a medium grater.
Heat a little vegetable oil in a pan and add freshly prepared vegetables to it. Salt, pepper and fry the carrots with onions until golden brown.
Step 3: prepare the tomatoes.
Rinse the tomatoes, remove the seal remaining from the stem. Cut the tomatoes into thin circles or semicircles.
Step 4: prepare the cheese.
Cut off the crust from the cheese, and then grate it on a fine or medium grater.
To prepare this dish, it is better to take hard cheese varieties, for example, parmesan, but the more familiar Russian or Dutch ones will fit no worse.
Step 5: bake fish under a fur coat in the oven.
Set the oven to warm up 170-180 degrees.
Lubricate the baking dish with a small amount of vegetable oil and put in it pieces of fish fillet, seasoned in spices. If desired, fillets can be smeared with mayonnaise on top (especially if you have chosen low-fat fish). Now cover your fish with a "fur coat", for this, first put the fried onions and carrots on top, even out, then put thin slices of tomato, and then sprinkle with grated cheese, evenly distributing it over the entire area.
Put everything in a well preheated oven on 20-25 minutes. During this time, the fish fillet is perfectly baked, gives juice along with vegetables, and the cheese is covered with a golden crust.
Important: if you want to make the dish less caloric, then of course you need to abandon the use of cheese and mayonnaise, and if you are afraid that the vegetables on top will dry too much, cover the form with foil.
Step 6: serve the fish under a fur coat in the oven.
The fish under the fur coat, baked in the oven, turns out incredibly tasty! It is so good that I have no doubt recommend serving it not only on the ordinary, but also on the holiday table. Serve it as a hot meal, and use pasta, baked potatoes, or boiled rice as a side dish. Very tasty and healthy!
Enjoy your meal!
- During frying vegetables, you can add a little tomato paste to them.
- The hake, pollock, tilapia, cod fillet is best suited for the preparation of this dish, and this particular fish, in my opinion, is tastiest.
- Instead of mayonnaise, you can use sour cream or a mixture of mayonnaise and sour cream.
