Potato patties with rice


Ingredients for Making Potato Rice Chops

  1. Potato 7 pcs
  2. Rice 3 tbsp. spoons
  3. Bow 1 pc
  4. 4 cloves of garlic
  5. Flour 1/2 cup
  6. Breadcrumbs as needed

Cooking potato patties with rice:

Step 1: Boil the potatoes and rice.


We wash the potatoes under running water quite thoroughly, because we will cook the potatoes in a peel, and we just wash the rice under the running water twice.
We turn on the medium heat on the stove, transfer the potatoes to the pan and pour water. Then put on the burner and cook after boiling for about 25 - 35 minutes.

On a neighboring burner we put a smaller pan, put rice in it, pour about 130 ml of water and turn on medium heat. As soon as the liquid boils, reduce the heat to a minimum level, cover the pan with a lid and cook until fully cooked for about 15 to 20 minutes.

Step 2: Cook the minced meat for the patties.


We peel the onions and garlic from the husks, squeeze the cloves of garlic into a deep bowl with the help of the garlic, and rub the onion on a grater with small holes.
Remove the peel from the potato and put it in a bowl with chopped vegetables. We make mashed potatoes. Then add the rice together with salt and black pepper. Then pour the flour and mix thoroughly with a tablespoon. The consistency should be such that it is possible to sculpt cutlets. Therefore, if necessary, add flour, and it is better to start pouring it with tablespoons so as not to overdo it.

Step 3: Fry the patties.


We turn the stove on to the middle level, put the pan on the burner and pour the vegetable oil.
In the meantime, the oil warms up, pour the breadcrumbs into a flat plate. We wet our hands with water, form a ball from the potato mass, put it on a plate with breadcrumbs, roll it, give the ball the shape of a patty and transfer it to the pan.
Fry potato patties from two sides to a delicious golden crust and put the finished ones on a plate.

Step 4: Serve the potato patties with rice.


Potato patties with rice are best savored with various homemade sauces, such as cheese or tomato, as well as mayonnaise, sour cream or mustard. Enjoy a delicious and simple meal!

Recipe Tips:

- It’s very simple to check the potato’s readiness, it’s enough to pierce it with a knife or fork and if the vegetable becomes soft and does not stick on the knife (fork), then it’s boiled.
